Traina Foods, a US-based producer of sun dried fruits, has introduced California sun dried tomato ketchup.
The California Sun Dried Tomato Ketchup can be used in combination with cook-out and bar-b-que fare as well as grilled cheese sandwiches, the company said.
The company noted that the tomatoes used in the ketchup are cultivated on the family-owned and operated farm. The slow, sun drying process eliminates water from the tomatoes and holds the nutrients and flavor. The California sun dried tomato ketchup contains higher concentrations of healthy lycopene, along with vitamins A, B and C, has less sugar and salt and is gluten free.
Traina Foods chief executive officer Willie Traina said that using the sun dry process, the company is able to pack four pounds of fresh tomatoes into each flavor-full bottle of the ketchup.
Traina's California Sun Dried Tomato Ketchup is available online and at select retailers.
