In 2013,Mexico's car and light commercial vehicle production volume increased by 1.69 percent year on year to 2,933,465 units,according to the release from the Mexican Association of the Automotive Industry(AMIA).In given year,country's car and light vehicle exports increased by 2.87 percent year on year to 2,423,073 units.
Meanwhile in December last year,Mexico's car and light commercial vehicle production decreased by 9.07 percent year on year to 164,221 units.In the given month,the country's car and light commercial vehicle exports increased by?4.19?percent year on year to 161,208 units.
As for exports in 2013,Mexico's exports of cars and light commercial vehicles to Asia were up 45.4 percent,while exports to Canada and the US increased by 21.7 percent and 9.5 percent respectively,all year on year.Meanwhile,in the same period,year-on-year decreases were observed in exports to destinations such as Europe,Africa and Latin America,down 32.3 percent,20.2 percent and 16 percent respectively.
As for domestic sales,in December Mexico's cars and light commercial vehicle sales rose by 7.68 percent year on year to 119,364 units.In 2013,1,063,363 cars and light commercial vehicles were sold in the domestic market,up 7.66 percent year on year.
